FAQ

Is this the official MACH-IV?
It uses the classic Christie & Geis (1970) 20-item structure and reverse-scoring rules. This is an entertainment self-report version, not a clinical instrument.
Does a high score mean I'm a bad person?
No. It reflects strategic interpersonal tendencies, not a moral verdict.
How is this different from the Dark Triad?
MACH-IV measures Machiavellianism only. The Dark Triad also includes narcissism and psychopathy in a shorter 18-item format.
How do I read my score?
Range 40–160, neutral around 100. Higher scores indicate more cynicism, strategy acceptance, and moral flexibility.
